It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avery J. Brousssard (Delcambre, Louisiana), who passed away on November 5, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Broussard and Louise Boyance Broussard; his wife Gustavia Lewis-Broussard; his children, Audrey Marie Broussard, Mary Alice Broussard-Perrodin and Leonard Joseph Broussard; his granddaughter Rachael Marie DeRouen-Whittington; and his siblings, Edwin Broussard, Olies Broussard, Dominic Broussard, Ceasar Broussard, Leonce Broussard, Eliza Roy Nezey, Ida Francis, Nama Robertson, Elizabeth Broussard, Yvonne Broussard and Louise Comeaux.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Broussard-DeRouen (Roland) of Baton Rouge, LA, Dorothy Broussard-Nezey of Lafayette, LA and Anthony Broussard of Broussard, LA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active Pallbearers will be Byron DeRouen, Bradley DeRouen, Sr., Brandon Nezey, JeRon Nezey, Johnathan Nezey and Kevin Perrodin, Jr. In keeping with state health guidelines, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing at the church and cemetery.
