He is survived by: his wife Cathy E. Long; his children, Christopher Long and Elizabeth L. Allen (Jordy); his parents, Thomas "Tom" and Gloria H. Long; his sister Tara McAllister (Matthew); and his pet Bocephus.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Timothy's family request donations in his name to the American Cancer Society and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
