He was predeceased by: his parents, Abdon Callais and Ada Bruce Callais; his parents-in-law, Rene and Clementine Cheramie Plaisance; his siblings, Harold Callais, David Callais and Doris Winfrey; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Winfrey and John Brady.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine P. Callais; his children, Gavin (Dolly), Bruce (Connie), Lee (Jane), Abdon Callais and Renee Karas (Brien); his grandchildren, Megan, Stephen, Jacob, Erin, Andrew, Caroline and Mela; his sister Clara Belle Callais Brady; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Callais, Susan Callais, Calvin and Audrey Plaisance. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
