She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Frog" Plaisance, Jr. and Joyce D. Plaisance; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Plaisance and Tessie Plaisance. She is survived by: her husband Rodney "Slim" Melancon, Sr.; her children, Danielle Melancon and Rodney "Little Slim" Melancon, Jr.; and her brothers, Kim Plaisance (Rosemary), Peter Plaisance, Russell Plaisance (Tammy) and Brad Plaisance.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
