With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jimmie J. Gisclair of Cut Off, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jimmie left this world on January 19, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Rena Mae G. Gisclair; his son Andy Gisclair; his son-in-law Kerry Aucoin Sr.; his parents, Leon Jean Michel and Mozana Cantrelle Gisclair; his siblings, Raleigh Gisclair and Doris "Toot" Cheramie; and his goddaughter Millie Jo Gisclair.
He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline "Jackie" G. Bourgeois (Randy), Brenda G. Aucoin (Junior) and Timmy Gisclair (Donna); his daughter-in-law Debbie D. Gisclair; his siblings, Wiley Gisclair (Barbara) and Debra Jerstad (Charles); and his grandchildren, Joshua Bourgeois, Amie A. Smith, Kerry Aucoin Jr., Tiffany G. Dardar, Kelly G. Gaudet, Jimmie Gisclair and Leon Gisclair. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (17980 W Main St, Galliano, LA 70354). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Cheramie Cemetery East Main.
