He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma F. Alario; his daughter Pam A. Gravois; his parents, Juan V. Alario and Victoria R. Alario; and his siblings, Jeff Alario, Robert Alario, Gladys Theriot (Bea), Hilda Turnage and Rosemary A Blackwell.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Alario (Buddy); his grandchildren, Reggie Ougel (Martha), Andrea Warner (Thorn) and David J. Gravois (Erin); and his great grandchildren, Alli Rae Ougel and Thorn David Warner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
