He is survived by: his wife Viola Cooper; his children, Dana Sanders (Steve) and John Daniel Cooper; his great-niece Twanna Hawthorne; his great-nephew Roc Hawthorne; his grandchildren, Jayden, Kylee Rae, John Ashton, Averi and Kassidy; and his siblings, Rev. James Cooper (Sheila), Arthur James, Petrina Scruggs and Debra Bradford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
