He was predeceased by: his parents, Meshack Coleman and Evelyn C. Wilridge; his aunt Anna; his wife's daughter Brenda Durgin; his wife Mary Etta Coleman; his stepson Tony Senegal Sr.; and his grandparents, Aeras, Louise Wilridge, Homer and Rose Ida Coleman.
He is survived by: his children, Lythanie, Joseph Jr., Lucianie, Mary Boutte and Romy D. Coleman (Lafayette); his stepson Kenneth G. Senegal (Lafayette); his grandchildren, Ronaldo D. Coleman (Shamara) of Cypress, TX, Laurian C. Guidry and Raeden C. Coleman (Lafayette); his great grandchild Olivia Jane Coleman of Cypress, TX; his sisters, Susie Hawkins and Frankie Coleman of Palmdale, CA; his godchildren, Stephanie, Michelle, Carla, Kizzy, Joseph Jr. and Aaron; and also, Tony and Ken.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Starlight Baptist Church (206 Webb St, Rayne, LA 70578). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Starlight Baptist Church (1481 JE Pelton Hwy, Rayne, LA 70578).
