It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Mae Sanderford of Crowley, Louisiana, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elix McZeal and Elvenia Leopaul McZeal; her husband Felix Sanderford, Sr.; her grandsons, Homer Wilridge, Jr. and Byrain Wilridge; her siblings, Dennis McZeal, Alex McZeal, Sr., Elizabeth Parks, Bessie Keel and Merline Wilson; and her son-in-law Homer Wilridge, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughter Lettie Wilridge of Crowley, LA; her grandchildren, Wynn Wilridge of Crowley, LA, Kelvin Wilridge (Debra) of Lafayette, LA, Byron Wilridge, Sr. (Sonjatina) of Crowley, LA and Mardessa Poydras (Thomas) of Crowley, LA; her sister Rosa Belle Ware of Port Arthur, TX; her niece Dora Taylor (Lester) of Houston, TX; her nephews, Edward J. Handy, Charles McZeal and Joseph A. McZeal; and her stepchildren, Felix Sanderford, Jr. of Woodland, CA and Carolyn Smith of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives, godchildren and friends.
