He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lula Belle Beard, Elva Fruge' and Earl Hanks; and his parents, Joseph Hanks and Theresa Benoit Hanks.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Hanks (Christine) of Crowley, Kenneth Hanks (Shari) of Crowley, Carolyn Hanks Pray of Charlotte, N. C. and Shirley Hanks Jobe of Tyler, TX.; his sisters, Margie Huddleston (Sissy) of Natchitoches and Shirley Abshire of Natchitoches La; his grandchildren, Justin Hanks M. D., Jesse Hanks, Jeremy Hanks, Beau Pray, Ava Pray, Madison Jobe, Nicholas Jobe, Nathaniel Jobe, Maximilian Jobe and Arden Jobe; his great grandchildren, Nova Jean, Dean Garrett, Neo Patrick and Finley Edward Hanks; and his niece Carla Hancock.
