He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxie Antoine Trahan and Marie Hebert Trahan; his son-in-law Wes Bertrand; his parents-in-law, Lou and Harry Breaux; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Danna of Crowley and Charles Broussard of Crowley.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Trahan Bertrand of Crowley and Dr. Maxie Alexander Trahan (Nicky) of Crowley; his grandchildren, Noelle Bertrand Johnson (Brad) of Scott, Amelia Bertrand Dixon (Matt) of Shreveport, Jackson James Trahan of Crowley, Adeline Alexandra Trahan of Crowley and Audrey Annemarie Trahan of Crowley; his great grandchildren, Amelie Marguerite Johnson of Scott, George Wesley Johnson of Scott, Henry Francis Johnson of Scott and Luke Edward Dixon of Shreveport; his siblings, Glenda Danna Broussard of Crowley and John William Trahan (Denise) of Rayne; his caregivers, Lenora Hayes, Melinda Leger, Melissa Sarver and Dannell Trumps; and also Esther Breaux.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home (301 N Ave F, Crowley, LA 70526). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (224 W 5th St, Crowley, LA 70526).
In lieu of flowers, Larry's family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to St. Michael Catholic School or to Hospice of Acadiana.
