Idell Brewer Knepper Obituary
The memory of Idell Brewer Knepper (Crowley, Louisiana), who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul George Knepper; her parents, William Brewer and Sarah Spence Brewer; her siblings, Ella Lee Brewer, Ida Ree Brewer, William "Dub" Brewer, Sadie Louise Brewer, Dorothy Nelle Brewer, James Edward Brewer, Lorraine Brewer Gorman, Yvonne Brewer Reiher and Barbara Jane Brewer; and her granddaughter Kayla Broussard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joni B. Broussard (Greg) and Cathy B. Mahaffey (Mark); her grandchildren, Chad D. Broussard (Rene'), Robbie G. Broussard (Mary Katherine), Ben J. Broussard (Alicia), Miia M. Guinn (Will), Taylor W. Mahaffey (Kelli), John Michael Mahaffey (Mariette), Christopher M. Mahaffey, Eric T. Mahaffey (Kate), William B. Mahaffey (Jaclyn) and Philip C. Mahaffey; and her stepchildren, Dale Knepper (Bobbi), Debbie Attaway (Pat), Phillip Knepper, Laura LaFleur (Bill) and Elizabeth Knepper. She is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home (301 N Ave F, Crowley, LA 70526). A rosary was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (225 W 5th St, Crowley, LA 70526).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
