He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan "Kirk" Scanlan; his parents, Alcy Sarver and Amelia Smith Sarver; and his siblings, Mae Standish, Joyce Sarver, Alene Daigle, Jeanette Dennies, Opal "Toot" Ashby, Ebert "Cop", Buford, Luther "Mack" and Charles Sarver.
He is survived by: his wife Marylin Wyatt Sarver of Iota; his sons, Phil Scanlan (Triscilla) of Sand Springs, OK, Michael Scanlan (Melissa) of Branch, Terry Madsen (Shirley) of San Jose, CA and Greg Madsen (Melissa) of Grants Pass, OR; and his brother Woodrow Sarver of Crowley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
