With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harry James Richard of Crowley, Louisiana, born in Lafayette, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Richard and Antoine Richard; his siblings, Percy Richard, Murphy Richard, Howard Richard and Agnes Castille; and his siblings-in-law, June Marceaux and Frank Marceaux.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Richard; his children, Benjy Richard (Hannah) of Crowley and Chasity Richard of Crowley; his grandchildren, Lane Richard, Nathan Richard and Morgan Babineaux; his great grandchildren, Eden Richard, Hudson Richard, Margaret Richard and Rose Richard; and his siblings, Janelle Moore (Theogene) of Crowley, Antoine Richard Jr. (Virginia) of Crowley and Dorothy Stutes of Crowley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 9431 Egan Hwy, Crowley, LA 70526.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for the Calcutta House of Lafayette or Hope House in New Orleans.
