It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Joyce Babin Rowell of Crowley, Louisiana, born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas J. Rowell, Jr.; her daughter Robin Rowell Romeo; and her parents, George Babin and Dorothy Hohensee Babin. She is survived by: her children, Rene'Torregrossa (David) of Baton Rouge and Dr. Jeff Rowell (Cheryl); her son-in-law Sammy Romeo of Baton Rouge; and her brothers, George Babin of Thibodaux and Dennis Babin of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials contributions be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church or St. Michael School.
