She was predeceased by: her husband Chester Lee Cormier; her parents, Artha, Sr. Hargrave and Lily Perry Hargrave; and her siblings, Lou Anna Hargrave and J. C. Hargrave.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Cormier Sonnier of Crowley, Michael Keith Cormier of Crowley and Kathryn Lynn Cormier of Brusly; her siblings, Shirley Hargrave Duhon of Meaux, Artha "Pierre" Hargrave, Jr. of Meaux and Calvin Hargrave of Nunez; and her grandchildren, Alden Sonnier, III, Scott Sonnier, Zachary Sonnier, Allison Beth Stutes, Carl Stutes, II, Michael Johnson and Shawn Cormier. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
