He is survived by: his children, Tia Bertrand (Taylor) of Crowley, Galen Simon of Westlake, Garret Simon of Gueydan and Zack Vidrine of Mamou; his grandchildren, Hayden Simon, Kristen Morvant, Bayli Simon, Gracie Simon, Sydnie Simon, Kamen Simon, Ahna-Claire Simon, Robert Vidrine and Briar Vidrine; his sisters, Lena Mire of Estherwood, Alverna Wright of Rayne, Lynette Gaspard of Indian Bayou and Denise Lanthier of Lyons Point; and his close friend Dolores Dupuis of Rayne.

A burial was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Johnson Hanks Cemetery (214 Hanks Cemetary Rd, Morse, LA 70559).
