He was predeceased by: his wife Wahneta Marie DeVille Mier; his parents, Elduce Mier and Julia "Blanche" Kibodeaux Mier; his brothers, Norris and Norman Mier; and his nephew Roger Dale Mier.
He is survived by: his nieces, Jenny DeVille and Kathy Mier Roth.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (901 E Elm St, Crowley, LA 70526). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1650 S Ave F, Crowley, LA 70526).
