She was predeceased by: her husband Oday Sonnier; her son James Sonnier; her parents, Daywood Menard and Rita Menard; and her siblings, Hilton, Paul Menard and Dorris Granger.

She is survived by: her sons, Oday Paul Sonnier of Lafayette, John (Donna Sonnier) of Estherwood and Daniel Sonnier (Richard Rivera) of New Jersey; and her grandchildren, Bradley Hoffpauir (Cristy) of Tennessee and Michelle Sonnier of Crowley.
