He was predeceased by: his former wife Ellen Lorenz (Stavnem); his son Erik Lorenz; and his parents, Ella Winkler Lorenz and Hans Heinrich Lorenz. He is survived by: his wife Aurelia Cespedes Lorenz; his children, Ingrid L. Yancey (Jamie), Karin Lorenz Crosby, Amanda L. Phillips (Jimmy), Andrew J. Lorenz, Wairis Cespedes and Maria Cespedes; his grandchildren, Erik J. Yancey, Markus P. Yancey, Ashleigh Phillips, Kaitlyn Phillips, Sofie M. Yancey, Ella Crosby and Mikaela Cespedes; and his brother Rainer Lorenz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many wonderful lifelong friends.
