It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Tate Lopez (Covington, Louisiana), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Solon Tate and Madeline Lovell Tate; her husband George Lopez, Sr.; her children, John Lopez, Thomas Lopez and Karen Chaput; her siblings, Clarence Tate, Aline Tate and Vera Mae Gaiennie; and her granddaughter Meghan Lopez.
She is survived by: her sons, George Lopez, Jr. and Michael Lopez (Kelly Collins); her grandchildren, Nathan Lopez, Taylor Holt (Mo) and Patrick Waguespack (Aimee); and her great grandchildren, Mason and Hayley Waguespack. She is also survived by many other cousins and relatives.
