He was predeceased by: his wife Lilmar Pendergast Hurstell; his son Stanley Eugene Hurstell, Jr.; his parents, Frank A. Hurstell and Mercedes S. Hurstell; and his siblings, Frank, Malcolm (Mack) and Audrey.
He is survived by: his sons, James Gerard Hurstell and David Michael Hurstell (Theresa); and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott and Alexis. He is also survived by his siblings, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
