He was predeceased by: his wife Geneva Marie Crutchfield; his parents, Lottie Overton and John Edgar Crutchfield; and his brothers, John "Eddie" and David Crutchfield.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert George Crutchfield (Brenda) and Frank Edward Crutchfield; and his siblings, Rowena Mestayer and Daniel Crutchfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to the Covington American Legion Post 16.
