He was predeceased by: his son David M. Badon; his brother Thomas Badon; and his parents, John Logan and Mavis Thompson Badon. He is survived by: his wife Patty Morgan Badon; his children, John "Jay" and Sheree Fortner; his grandchildren, John, Melissa and Christian; his children, Mitch "Shay" and Suzanne Cieutat; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Morgan Turner, Kevin and Jessica Montalbano; his children, Glynn and Sarah Revere; his grandchildren, Allie and Elizabeth; his children, Richard "Rick" and Gretchen Badon; his grandsons, Luke and Grant; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Lucille and Laurel; and his sister Donna B. Autin.
