He is survived by: his parents, William Goodwin Thompson, Sr. and Kathleen Childress Thompson; his sons, Tatem Leighton Thompson (Montanna Darlene Westbrook) and Avery Richard Thompson; his grandson Niall Tate Thompson; and his nephews, Dustin Breaux and Dalton Thompson.
