It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael David Coakley (Covington, Louisiana), born in Kenner, Louisiana, who passed away on January 9, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Louise Johnson Coakley and Herbert Lee Coakley. He is survived by: his children, Sean Coakley (Christy), Chrystie Shubert (Roy) and Michele Hansen (Blake); his brothers, Herbert Coakley, Jr. and Kevin Coakley; his grandchildren, Alyssa Shubert, Braden Shubert, Tristen Watson and Mychal Coakley; and his great grandchildren, Brayson Shubert, Bowen Shubert and Christopher Watson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Coakley to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
