He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Sowder and Bonnie Sowder (Keith); and his brother Elmer "Billy" Glenn Sowder. He is survived by: his wife Ocie Sowder (Sharp); his children, Billy G. Sowder (Brenda K.), Gregory K. Sowder (Robin Songe Sowder) and Diana Sowder Taylor (late Ottis "Jody" Taylor); his granddaughters, Melissa Sowder Glipa-Sahagun (Damien Glipa-Sahagun) and Mandy Sowder Lombard (Richard Lombard); his stepgrandsons, Al Roddy, Richard Roddy and Brian Roddy; his great grandchildren, Jaden Lombard, Jude Lombard, Ezekiel Glipa-Sahagun, Moriah Glipa-Sahagun, Jonah Glipa-Sahagun and Abigail Glipa-Sahagun; his sister Daisydean Sowder Seals (late Gene Seals); and his nieces, Paula Seals Reumann and Rebecca Seals Rupert.
