It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucien Joseph Gunter of Covington, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Gunter and Dorothy Gunter; his sister Gale Ann Borchers; and his stepmother Marilyn Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Colleen Pike Gunter; his children, Trenton, Ethan and Olivia Gunter; his siblings, Jenith Larsen, Eydie Comeaux (Andrew), Mitzi Corrigan (Michael) and Lisa Barback (Dave); and his parents-in-law, Diane Pike, Lisa Morin (David), Al Pike (Tara) and Vicki Vitale (Matt). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Whether he was feeding families during the COVID-19 pandemic through his Cajun Gravy Project, sitting as a Fore Kids Foundation board member, or providing disaster relief post Hurricane Katrina and Harvey, Lucien never failed to take advantage of any opportunity he had to help those in need.
