She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wesley Whitehead and Eva Viola Granger Whitehead; her husband Philip William "Dosie" Gottschalk; and her brother Eugene Hamlin Whitehead. She is survived by: her sons, P. Wallace Gottschalk (Vanessa) and Wade Clayton Gottschalk (Shannon); her grandchildren, Gage (Sierra), Meredith Gottschalk, Corey, Allison Wall, Brody (Tanner), Jacob and Liam Gottschalk; and her siblings, Juanita Jenkins, Thomas Whitehead, Floyd Whitehead, Lloyd Whitehead, Walter Whitehead, Jr., Nora Dewitt Whitehead, Wyoma Howell, Louise Gill, Betty Spencer, Peggy King, Dorothy Stogner and Mary Anthony. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
