He was predeceased by: his parents, Fabian August Schlater, Jr. and Johanna Andrews Schlater. He is survived by: his siblings, Fabian A. Schlater, III (Susan) and Anise S. Goodwin (Stephen); and his nieces and nephews, Charles Schlater (Yolanda), Bill Schlater, Hillary Jaime (Humberto) and Dr. Lindsey Liuzza (Brett).
