With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Laura Lightsey Matheson of Covington, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Laura Lightsey left this world on July 9, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alvin Lightsey and Mae Lineberry Simpson; and her daughter Laura Elizabeth Matheson Simpson (Beth). She is survived by: her half-brother David Lightsey of Fairhope, Alabama.; her daughter Melanie Matheson Fontana (Dwight); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Leigh Price Miller, Joseph Matheson Fontana (Katelyn) and Madeline Fontana Koran (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Hayden Skye Miller and Paisley Grace Carroll.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
