She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alvin Lightsey and Mae Lineberry Simpson; and her daughter Laura Elizabeth Matheson Simpson (Beth). She is survived by: her half-brother David Lightsey of Fairhope, Alabama.; her daughter Melanie Matheson Fontana (Dwight); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Leigh Price Miller, Joseph Matheson Fontana (Katelyn) and Madeline Fontana Koran (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Hayden Skye Miller and Paisley Grace Carroll.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
