He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Sterling and Vera M. Thornton Sterling; and his siblings, Betty Revis and James Sterling. He is survived by: his wife Monita Fortenberry Sterling; his children, Kennith G. Sterling, Jr., Virginia Diane Sterling Foreman and Judith Annette Sterling Sullivan; his siblings, Wayne L. Sterling, Mary Ann O'Brian, Peggy O'Quinn, Bobbie Padgett, Mildred Hong and Maxine Ross; and his grandchildren, James Sterling, Aaron Foreman, Rachael Hirdes, Leslie Watts, Lindsey Sterling and Caleigh Sullivan. He is also survived by 6 GreatGrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Zion Baptist Church Lunch Ministry or to the Building Fund.
