We bid farewell to Judith Blanche Slemmons Gracia of Covington, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 29, 2024 at the age of 78. Judith Blanche touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Leech Slemmons and Opal Blanche Miller Slemmons; her siblings, William and Lois Kay Slemmons Sangster; her brother-in-law George D. Fuller; and her mother-in-law Mary Gracia.
She is survived by: her husband Ernest Emile Gracia, Jr.; her daughters, Tanya Powell (Eric) of Petal, MS and Dana Keith of Covington, LA.; her stepsons, Ernest E. Gracia, III (Amelia) and Adam Gracia (Morgan); her grandchildren, Hailey Powell, Ernest Gracia, IV, Frederick Gracia, Musa Gracia and Noah Gracia; her sisters, Mary Lou Fuller, Marge Rhutasel (Larry) and Nancy Stagner (Bill); and her nieces and nephews, Lance Rhutasel (Marla), Chad Rhutasel, Ryan Stagner (Beth), Kelly Nilles (Larry) and Justin Stagner (Lauren). She is also survived by many extended family members including in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and faithful friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Covington Chapel (16054 Murphy Rd, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at the Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2280 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Covington (Building Fund), 16333 Highway 1085, Covington, LA or Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, LA 71203.
