She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Turner, Sr. and Rebecca Turner; her siblings, Steve Turner, Jr., Andre Turner, Edell Jones-Hinton and Patricia Burkhalter; and her granddaughter Megan Penn-Harrison.

She is survived by: her significant other James Walker of Covington; her children, Everett Turner (Sharon) of Covington, Christina Batiste (Gregory) of Pineville, Will Jones III (Stephanie) of Covington and Michael Martindale (Cody) of Slidell; her grandchildren, Kim Penn, Alicia Washington, Gesha Batiste, Kevin Hartsfield, Greg Jr. Batiste, Alonzo Fisher, Gamal Batiste, Kayla Batiste, Edward Baham and Jeremy Lloyd; and her great grandchildren, Javonte Donaldson, Javari Donaldson, Wynter Batiste, Amari Batiste, Ry'Lee Caffery, A'cyn Fisher, Cassius Hartsfield and Dante Hartsfield.

“I last saw Cousin Juanita when I visited Covington in 1997 with my late Mother Juanita Collins White, her Aunt & namesake. When I told her I was stopping at Lauras before we flew back home, she whipped up the best homemade "can candy" (pecan pralines) I ever tasted! She was a sweet & caring person who treated both her Mom (Aunt Becky) & mine like queens during our visit. Was disheartened to learn of her illness, but glad she is now at peace with Mom & Aunt Becky. R.I.P., Cousin. -Derwin White”
