He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ronald Ruff and Katherine Youngs Ruff; and his brother Jack W. Ruff. He is survived by: his wife Diane Fortner Ruff; his brother Robert S. Ruff; his siblings-in-law, Kenneth, Carla Sharp, Johnny and Ellen Fortner; and his nieces and nephews, Renate Clopton, Jill Ardoin, Shannon Paille, Joy Glover, Jay Fortner and Julie Glover. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews.
