He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Lee Barland, Sr. and Ivy Ida Barland; and his sisters, Laverne Barland Riley, Christine Barland Ragusa and Mary Barland Arceneaux.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burroughs DeCuir Barland; his stepchildren, Stephen DeCuir, Joseph DeCuir, Donna Morabito and Juliann Gravolet; and his sibling Evaline Barland Myatt. He is also survived by spouses, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
