He was predeceased by: his wife Mary "Kathi" Moss Schofield; his parents, John Earl Schofield, Sr. and Ovida Daroca Schofield Kuss; his brother Rudy Schofield; and his granddaughter Taylor Schofield.
He is survived by: his sons, John, Schofield, III (Susie Ingram), Steven Schofield (Dawn) and Michael "Scott" Schofield (Jill); his grandchildren, Alexandra, Brenna, Madison, Colin, Paige and Scott; and his brothers-in-law, Gordon "Pete" Moss, Jr. and Michael Moss (Mary Ann). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
