He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Schmolke, Sr. and Josephine Walters Schmolke Fitzmorris; his siblings, Edward, Jr., John Albert, Terry, Frank Schmolke, Raymond Fitzmorris and Margaret Ruberts; his parents-in-law, Lawrence Taylor and Amanda Caroline Taylor; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Boudreaux and June McLain.
He is survived by: his wife Patty T. Schmolke; his children, Jared (Emily), Kacie (Kris), Clayton (Laurel), Judy (Steve), Bridgette (Brett) and Carol (Wayne); his grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Lorelei Schmolke, Andrew, Tristan McLain, Raven, Weylan Molley of Adeline Quave, T. J, Trantham, Amber Schmolke, Samantha West, Karlie Gordon and Patiense Morris; and his siblings, Rosemary Pitts, Chuck and Buddy Ruberts.
