It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Schmolke (Covington, Louisiana), who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Schmolke, Sr. and Josephine Walters Schmolke Fitzmorris; his siblings, Edward, Jr., John Albert, Terry, Frank Schmolke, Raymond Fitzmorris and Margaret Ruberts; his parents-in-law, Lawrence Taylor and Amanda Caroline Taylor; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Boudreaux and June McLain.
He is survived by: his wife Patty T. Schmolke; his children, Jared (Emily), Kacie (Kris), Clayton (Laurel), Judy (Steve), Bridgette (Brett) and Carol (Wayne); his grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Lorelei Schmolke, Andrew, Tristan McLain, Raven, Weylan Molley of Adeline Quave, T. J, Trantham, Amber Schmolke, Samantha West, Karlie Gordon and Patiense Morris; and his siblings, Rosemary Pitts, Chuck and Buddy Ruberts.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Zion Baptist Church (17387 New Zion Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sharp Cemetery House.
