She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Jacomine and Dorothy Pratt Jacomine Landry; her daughter Jayne Lynne Briggs; her husband Eugene Schaeffer; and her former husband Leslie Richard Briggs.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet Briggs Coleman; her grandchildren, Jeanne Brewer and James Kinchen; her son-in-law Kenneth Coleman; her grandchildren, Jeanne Ann Brewer (Cullen E. Brewer), Leslie Briggs Kinchen (Whitney Penny Kinchen) and James David Kinchen; and her great grandchildren, CJ, Savanna, Jake, Alyssa, Jaynee Lynne and Cass David.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Briggs' name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
