It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edgar Ayo Sr. of Covington, Louisiana, born in Franklin, Louisiana, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter Ayo, Sr. and Louella Robichaux Ayo; and his brother John P. Ayo, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Blakeman Ayo of Covington; his children, Janet Laenger (Charles) of Knoxville, Jennifer Rincon (David) of Alpharetta and James E. Ayo, Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.; his grandchildren, AnaMaria, Ethan, Ava Rincon, Sarah, Emily Laenger, Peter, Austin and Matthew Ayo; his daughter Cynthya Ball of Ingleside; his grandchildren, Natascha and Nathaniel Ball; his great grandchildren, Darrik Johnston, Charli Hogan, Julia Themis and Myles Ball; his nephews, John F. Ayo, Jeffrey Ayo, Raymond Blakeman III and Charles Blakeman; and his former wife Nancy Baltes Tuten. He is also survived by his dogs and spending time with his family and friends.
