We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2022, at the age of 79, James Cox Jr. of Covington, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Cox Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Elaine Cox; his parents, Jewel James Cox, Sr. and Annie Mae Stokes Jones; and his sisters, Shirley Bennett and Helen Bankston.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Grant (Kevin) and James W. Cox; his stepchildren, Rudy Booth and Ivy Fauntleroy; his siblings, Ronnie Cox (Anita), Floyd Cox (Carolyn), Dwane Cox and Carolyn Hyde; and his uncle Carley Stokes (Ann). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Red Bluff Baptist Church.
