He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia R. Bennett; his parents, Gordon Bennett and Merle Bennett; and his siblings, Norma, Carl, Vera and James.
He is survived by: his children, Hollis, Jr. (Bridget), Danny (Mary), Tyren (Kelly) and Chris (Sherrie); and his brother Butch. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
