He was predeceased by: his father AJ Barfield; his brother David Barfield; and his pet Binx. He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Kyle Barfield (Laura), Carey Barfield and Kristen Barfield Wanner (DJ); his grandchildren, Jace, Harrison, Ava, Hayden and Cameron; his mother Faith Barfield; and his sisters, Debbie Brower (Dwight) and Pam Crane (Charles).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Kristen Wanner in support of her Kindergarten students.
