He was predeceased by: his parents, George Generelly Harris and Marie Louise Schwartz; his grandparents, Alexander Harris, Jr., Emilie Sarpy, Michael Schwartz and Marie Louise Dirmann; and his brothers, Michael Albert Harris and Carl Virgil Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Camilla Sigrid Swenson; his children, Michelle Mary Harris, Alan Jerome Harris (Norma Figuero Harris) and Alicia Louise Harris; his grandchildren, Vanessa Alexandra Thibodeaux (Stephen Thibodeaux), Giselle Rosemary Cloutier, Cary Michael Harris (Regie Harris), Naomi Marie Harris and Rebekah Jean Dragg (Rodney Dragg); and his sister Marie Louise Harris. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
