He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick J. Hinkel, Sr. and Dorothea Hinkel (Delger); and his sister Fay Hinkel Zitzman. He is survived by: his wife Rochelle Hinkel (Simon); his children, Lisa Hinkel Haley (Erik), David Hinkel, Jessica Millet (Brian) and Jared Millet (Julie); his grandsons, Joshua, Taylor, Jack and Max; and his brothers, Mark Hinkel (Melanie) and Steve Hinkel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI – St. Tammany in support of Dr. Jack Saux.
