He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward William Stempel Sr. and Ruth Cohen Stempel; and his sister Bonnie Stempel Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Mares Stempel; and his siblings, John Stempel (Cindy), Barbara Stempel Smyth and Cynthia Stempel Schroeder. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
