He was predeceased by: his parents, George Long and Mae Long; his siblings, George Long, Paul Long, Merle Perez and Glenn Long; and his pet Rexie.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Long; his children, Glenda Long, Glenn Long (Tammy), Brenda Long, Megan Long, Justin Long (Krystal) and Tawnya Smith (Randy); his grandchildren, Mark White (Carrie), Dana Unbehagen (Joey), Caitlynn Long, Christopher Long, David Long (Dez), Leah Long, Michael Duffy (Cassie), Amber Hardy (Steve), Matthew Thompson, Kyle Bernard, Sawyer Smith and Parker Smith; his sister Margaret McCoy; his pets, Red, Lil'Bit and Smokie; and his caregiver Chris RN. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that we carry on his tradition of giving plants instead of flowers, which can be sent to the church for services.
