He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl William Ruth, Sr. and Rosalie Rumore Ruth; his brother Gerard Ruth, Sr.; and his son-in-law Mark Foret, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Mark Ruth (Claudia), Lauren Foret (Jim) and Aileen Ruth; his grandchildren, Mark Foret, Jr. (Misti), Brandon Foret (Jared), Grace Weimer (Zach) and Jacob Ruth; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer Ann Foret, Bexley Jo Foret and Manon Ruth Weimer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Bernard Memorial Gardens (701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043).
