With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Heap McDow of Covington, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Heap and Florence McCoy Heap; her husband Dennis W. McDow Jr.; and her son Patrick McDow. She is survived by: her children, Elaine McDow Bulloch (Hezzie), Jane McDow McNeill (Tom), Claire McDow Strain, Beverly McDow Holliday (Steve), Barbara McDow Pierpont (Lex), Mary McDow Acquistapace (David), Sylvia McDow, Rose Anne McDow, Nancy McDow Jourdan (Greg), Dennis W. McDow III, Scott McDow and Glenn McDow; her brother Deacon Raymond Heap; and her godchild Mikey Bergeron. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
Due to the current social distancing restrictions related to COVID-19, a Funeral Mass for Dorothy was held privately.
