He was predeceased by: his son Joshua Kent; his grandson Parker B. Prince; and his parents, Frances Gibson and Roland Kent. He is survived by: his wife Jane Stuebben Kent; his children, Shannon M. Prince, John P. McGuire III (Jay), Michael M. McGuire (Mike) and Robert J. McGuire (Bob); his children-in-law, David Dillard, Missy McGuire, Shawn McGuire and Kelly Kent; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Molly, Andrew, Jordan, Miles, Callan McGuire, Miranda, Elise, Tessa and Juliet Kent.
